Initial Consultation

This assessment can be carried out in the privacy and comfort of your own home. Your assessment will include gathering a detailed medical history as well as the history of your injury or condition.

I will then undertake a physical examination which will be tailored specifically to each individual. This can include assessment of the affected area, strength, movement, posture and your gait in order to help give you a diagnosis.

Once a diagnosis is been made from the assessment, a treatment plan will be discussed with you that we are both happy with.

If it is appropriate, you will also receive physiotherapy treatment in your first session, allowing you to start your recovery immediately.

You may need to undress to allow the physiotherapist to assess the affected body part and complete full assessment, so you may need to have a pair of loose shorts and vest top to change in to dependent on the area of injury / condition.

Follow Up & Treatment Session

This follow up session will last for 30 minutes. This session will involve a review of the progress / injury since your initial consultation. There is a lot of treatments that can be carried out based on your diagnosis and findings from the initial consultation.

About Me

Hi! I'm Donna. I qualified as a physiotherapist in 2010, but I have worked within therapy in the NHS for almost 20 years.

I am also a qualified sports therapist since 2004 as well as being qualified to provide physiotherapy acupuncture since March 2020.

I really enjoy helping people to regain their independence, reach their goals after an injury or fall, improve their confidence and quality of life. This could be helping to manage / improve pain or to increase confidence to be able to do things that you have not been able to do on their own.

I am a caring, friendly and dedicated person and I always keep up to date with my clinical professional development through attending regular courses, online medical journals or forums. After qualifying as a new physiotherapist, I rotated through orthopaedics, general medicine, rehabilitation, community and palliative care.

For the past 8 years, I have worked as a clinical lead physiotherapist specialising in frailty, falls management and prevention.

I have also continued to assess, treat and manage a variety of sports / musculoskeletal injuries in my spare time over the past 11 years.
